An Introduction to Cameron Jones

Cameron Jones
Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head

Name: Cameron Jones
Nationality: American
Spoken Languages: English.
Place of Birth: Richmond, Virginia
Age/Date of Birth: 253/ July 14th, 1757 (She appears to be in her early 20s.)

Looks
And since I fell for that spell, I am living there as well

Eyes: Bright brown, borderline hazel. They are oval shaped, almost almond but not quite there yet. She has high, arched eyebrows that are kept thin through meticulous care.
Hair: Although it has varied in length and colour over the years, Cameron has finally settled on should length pitch black hair.
Height: Cameron is average height, about 5' 4"
General Appearance: Cameron has the kind of appearance that one would normally find quite easy to remember in other circumstances. She is only average height, but appears much taller thanks to the fact that her legs appear quite long. In fact, if one were to look carefully it would seem as if most of Ghost was elongated, from her face (which ends in point at her chin) to her legs. Even her arms appear unnaturally long. Despite this, she doesn't seem gangly or awkward. Cameron takes great pride in her appearance, and is always well groomed when she goes out (although she's not sure why she bothers any more).
Dressing Style: Unlike Ghost, Cameron actually enjoys wearing "girly" clothes, finding pleasure in pulling out her Sunday best occasionally. She still likes to be able to move, but is willing to wear things that would be deemed more fashionable or stylish. Bright jewellery, high platform shoes, and other impractical fashion statements find their way into her closet, much to Ghost's annoyance. One thing Cameron is never without, however, is her grey trench coat. It's tacky, the kind of thing that appears in old P.I. movies, but she's quite fond of it, if only because Ghost is. She finds ways to work around it.

Personality
Time is so short and I'm sure there must be something more

General Traits: Cameron is almost the opposite of Ghost in many ways. She is a social butterfly, and only developed her persona of "Ghost" to keep herself from getting too hurt by her "illness", as she refers to it. She enjoys being the center of attention at times, although she knows that she can't always have the lime light. In addition, Cameron often finds herself putting off her work, mainly because she finds it necessary to balance out Ghost's almost tiring work ethic.
Likes: Reading, keeping notes, talking and socializing, family and friends
Dislikes: Being forgotten (go figure >>), killing, fighting of any sort
Habits/Mannerisms: Cameron, much like Ghost, fidgets with things when she thinks that Ghost is coming out too much. In addition, she tends to talk three levels dumber then she actually is, adding "like" "as" or other valley girl phrases to her speech. She doesn't mean to, but it slips in. Occasionally old terms that she learned as a child will slip in as well.
Strengths: Cameron is good at prying information out of others. She has a way with words that Ghost never will have, and it is usually her that does the talking. Cameron also is quite good at sneaking around places, something that surprised both of them. When she can find it in her to stop talking or socializing for five minutes, she's found that things requiring stealth actually come fairly easy to her. She uses that to her advantage. In an odd way, Cameron's naivety can be considered a show of strength. It is self inflicted, because Ghost knows (and Cameron must subconsciously know) that if she were to really understand her situation and what that would mean for a social butterfly like Cameron, she would quickly go mad from loneliness. Her family and friends being over a hundred years dead doesn't help matters.
Weaknesses: The thing that Cameron loves most is also her weakness. She has trouble not talking, mainly because it's her one life line to others. When she's out of sight, she's out of mind, and that troubles the girl more then she'd care to admit. In addition, Cameron has never really grown out of her late teenage mindset, letting Ghost do all the growing up while she remained a teenager at heart. Because of this she can be very irresponsible. Cameron is a pushover of sorts, and will do things to please others. Ghost has scolded her for this many times. Cameron is also quite naive when it comes to things. It is both self inflicted (if one can call Ghost keeping it from her that) and a part of her never actually growing out of her teenage mindset. However, just because she is still a teenager at heart doesn't mean that Cameron is not smart or well learned. She is to an extent, but her knowledge isn't as diverse as Ghost's.

History
You thought you might be a Ghost. you didn't get to heave but you made it close.

Mother:Lucy Mae Jones, died at age 50
Father: Samuel Jones, died at age 48
Siblings: Coraline Jones, disappeared at age 14, Samantha Jones, died at age 15
Background Story: Cameron Jones was the oldest of three children in the Jone's family. They were like any other family new to America. They traveled to the New Land for religious freedom. Like many others, they wanted to escape the Church of England. They ended up settling in Richmond, Virginia, where they stayed for some time. It wasn't until the Revolutionary War, as later generations would call it, that the family even considered moving, although they didn't just yet. Being the oldest, Samuel taught Cameron to shoot and hunt for the family, since they had no sons to pass on the family duties to, and they needed all the hands they could get. Samuel himself took up arms and joined the other rebels in what would be the first army the United States would raise up. He survived the training, and Cameron would remember with bitter feelings the joy she felt seeing her father come home on the day her family would die.

It was any other day. Samuel was no longer undergoing training, having been wounded in a previous battle and sent home by his officers. Normally they probably wouldn't have done that, but no one stopped to think about how odd that was. They were all just glad to be united again. Cameron spent most of the day out hunting so that they would have fresh meat for dinner as a treat. When she returned home, she noticed something was wrong. Call it a hunter's instinct, or just the special bond a family shares, but she proceeded with caution. To this day she admits that she wasn't sure what she was expecting, but the image that's seared into her brain certainly wasn't it. Something unreal, not human in the slightest was hunched over her parent's lifeless bodies, one of her sister's cowering in a corner nearby. Something inside of Cameron broke that day, and if there was a specific time she'd say Ghost was created, that day would be her answer. With a cold, calculating nature only seen her in her counterpart, Cameron lifted the gun and shot the thing three times square in what could only be called its head. Something near the trigger seemed to heat up in a way Cameron had never felt it before, and when she looked, what seemed to be an ancient hieroglyph was etched into the wood there. She couldn't tell that quite then, of course, but it was intriguing none the less. However, the thing wasn't dead yet, and it was pissed off. Cameron shouted something at her sister (it's all quite blurry now, but it was probably a warning of some sort), and continued firing at the monstrous thing. It finally fell, but not before backup had arrived, this time in the form of something humanoid. It - he- muttered something before speaking to her directly. "You killed my pet." That's the last thing Cameron remembered of that day, before darkness clouded her vision.

When Cameron woke up, the bodies had all been cleared away as if nothing had happened. Her sisters where no where to be found, but Cameron had a sinking suspicion that the man had gotten to them. It took her quite some time to get any useful information regarding the creature that her family was attacked by. Instead she started looking into the gun that she was now the owner of. It had been passed down in her family for years, long before her parents were even born. Although it was obsolete, the gun still packed a good punch, and was a treasured heirloom. Cameron tried to research as much as she could, but found it quite difficult to find the information she was looking for. What she did find, however, was intriguing. The gun allowed her to essentially steal life from immortals, creatures that she had heard about in the twisted tales her father would use to scare her. She also learned that she had acquired a new "illness" of sorts. People had an odd tendancy of forgetting her. Appointments she made were being written over. Friends she had would remember her while they were hanging out, but would leave without her if she was more then a second late. It was... odd, to say the least. Cameron thought nothing of it at first, but as years and soon centuries past, she found it quite annoying.

Time passed, slowly blurring and blending together. Wars that lasted years seem like mere seconds in retrospect. Over time, Cameron's knowledge of the occult grew, allowing her to learn more about her weapon and eventually discover the ritual used to create one much like it. She kept this knowledge to herself. It would prove very dangerous in the wrong hands. As time marched on, she discovered that her "illness" was actually quite useful. When she adopted the persona Ghost (officially adopted in about 1803, when the Louisiana Purchase was made) to continue her actions under the cover of another name, she expected it to be just like any other false name she had given. It was fitting, since no one seemed to remember her. In essence and in name, she was a ghost. What she hadn't been expecting was for it to blow out into a full fledged personality, one that seemed to like being in control. Before she knew it, Ghost was becoming less and less a persona, and more like who she actually was. It was slightly scary to think about.

Cameron finally put her knowledge of the weapon she held to good use when the 20th century was leaving, making way for the 21st century. Now that guns had become much more advanced, she decided it was time to keep with the trend. That's not to say she wasn't used to these new guns. Quite the opposite, in fact. She spent a lot of her free time at firing ranges learning how to use different guns. Of all of the different types, however, one seemed to stand out. Pistols had been around for some time, although some would argue that the revolver was not a pistol in and of itself, but it was a handgun all the same. They weren't new to Cameron, nor were they special in her mind. That is, not until the Colt M1911 found its way into her hands. She had avoided pistols until then, preferring rifles that felt more like the old gun she used (which she named Acerbus, Latin for bitter or dark), but this time she made an exception. She bought two, so that she could train with both at the same time, and set one aside to make into what she deemed a "life stealer". When she finished that and named the two guns (Scythe and Reaper), Cameron felt ready to leave for one last journey. She made her way out of the Midwest and went straight to the West coast, the only area she hadn't been to yet.

While she was living on the West coast (Portland Oregon), Cameron came into contact with a Mr. C. She didn't bother asking what the C was for, although she would find out later. He seemed to be one of the only people she had ever met who actually remembered her, and he needed her skills. Well, Ghost's skills, which were now her own. It was becoming difficult to switch between being Ghost and Cameron. After years of keeping up the cold, distant front for her own protection, she could finally let her old self peek out a little. Not too much, however, because her illness still remained. Mr. C said he may be able to do something about that, though, so she continued to do jobs for him. It was a steady source of income, which was nice after having to steal what she needed. After all, it was hard to collect payment when your employer didn't even remember hiring you. It did have it's perks, though. After all, it got her out of more then one debt, and free lays were always a good release of tension. What little money was needed for ammo and other necessities was always provided for her. Besides that, Cameron didn't need much to get by. Since no one really remembered her, she found easy to slip by people, getting free movies, free meals, free a lot of things. While this should have bothered Cameron quite a bit, Ghost was unfazed by it. After all, she had important work to do, work that couldn't be interrupted by a little thing like needing to reload her gun or to grab a snack.

Since Ghost was used to working alone, it was quite a shock to see five other people suddenly board the plane that she had assumed was for her alone to meet Mr C. But that's a story for another time.

[[For anyone who wants a better idea of what Ghost/Cameron actually looks like, look up Olivia Wilde from the new Tron Legacy coming out. She's not quite perfect, but the closest non-video game equivalent I can come up with, and her hair is the same. Her face is meh, could be a little pointier, but no complaints (read: Olivia Wilde is hot, but not quite what I was looking for in Cameron >>)

If you want to hear Ghost's voice, see her post. Otherwise, I don't have a specific voice in mind for Cameron yet. It's like Ghost, but softer. Like Lightning's VA's normal voice.]]
